Creepy

Today I had the opportunity to have special time with Diego. So I took him where Maddy usually has trouble going. I sort of Borrowed this idea from my husband when I remembered this cave on trail #122. (Tim took a photo of a church at night in 2009, and heard some strange creepy sounds coming from the steeple area) This is about as close as I'll get to it too. Then I am looking behind me the whole way down to make sure it isn't following me. Eek!

Taps

I went to the Rockfish restaurant after a movie tonight. The glass of Tripple Belgium was cheaper than admission to a matinee. This is a picture of one of their taps.

Dead

I am discovering how difficult it is to come up with a photo for the day. Working 12 hour shifts when usually I just eat, sleep and work and that fills in my 24 hours but now I also need a photo. This was shot this am on one of the many trails around Cranberry Lake and what I love about this photo is the contrast of colors and that something dead can be beautiful.

Exercise

We aren't the only ones that need exercise. This is Diego on the treadmill. He got to go first, then it will be Fatty Maddy's turn. What an ingenious way to give your dog some exercise. Except for the photo of the pompous grass in the wind I don' think I have photographed movement. I noticed things in the background are sharp in contrast to his moving legs. It seems so obvious but now I wonder if I could have gotten a sharper image somehow.

Favorite Place

Besides Friday Harbor being my favorite place in the whole wide world Anacortes forest lands comes in at a close second. This shot is taken on the 101 trail around Cranberry Lake. Even though today was busy running errands I was able to get a run in before it got dark. Just barely. Mmmm!!

Hat

K, So today is my birthday and I thought I would take a picture of myself at age 46. Easier said than done. For one thing I had no idea how vain I really am. Like why hasn't anyone told me about my second chin? Really?
Taking a picture of yourself isn't that easy is what I've discovered. But I will promise to keep all the wrinkles I've acquired not like Joan Rivers. It's all real. Oh yeah and my hat, I get so many comments from people at how much they like the hat. I'm keeping it so they won't notice the salad in my teeth, double chin and wrinkles. All fun aside this is an awesome time on my life. Happy Birthday to Me!!

Blustery

Wow, we've had some wind today. I haven't checked weather.com to see how windy by mph but I happened to catch this pompous grass blowing in the wind. One lady I met walking in town told me she wished she hadn't come out but was told tomorrow will be worse.
